This is New Hope Presbyterian Church
In a world that seems to be increasingly divided along many lines, especially with regard to religious differences, we are striving to be an inclusive Christian church -- a place where traditional and progressive Christians worship and serve together in mutual acceptance and respect. We invite all people to participate in our community and worship life, without insisting that they become like us in order to be accepted.
We believe we are called by God to be God's body. We are people from a variety of social, economic and educational backgrounds who have come together to learn what it means to live as followers of Jesus Christ. Each member is a minister to those we meet in our daily lives, and to all human beings in widening circles throughout the world.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to receive God's grace through Christ and respond in worship and service. To carry out this mission we covenant together to:
- Provide opportunities and places for communal worship, to nurture spiritual growth, and provide spiritual support.
- Nurture spiritual growth and provide spiritual support.
- Encourage biblical understanding as the guide to interpreting our lives.
- Empower one another in our service to God's people.
- Show compassion, accompanied by action.
- Be a church that is outwardly directed and willing to take risks -- even when we find ourselves out of step with society.
- Recognize the earth as God's creation, and be responsible for our role in caring for it.
New Hope's History
New Hope, which is part of the Presbyterian Church (USA), was organized on June 13, 1983, with 23 confirmed members and 19 children. With Ellen Dozier as our organizing pastor, we became a "pilgrim people," moving seven times until our first service in our new building in March 1986. The second phase of our building was dedicated in May 1989, adding classrooms and a sanctuary. Anne and David Morgan began their ministry here as co-pastors in September 1993. They bring to the pulpit their combined gifts of creatvitiy, knowledge and vision for New Hope. In April of 2009, David retired and Anne became the pastor of the church. David will continue to teach some adult classes, preach each month and support the outreach ministry of New Hope. As in the past we continue to operate in a slightly unorthodox way as we travel light and trust God.
